Plants

The children enjoyed the lesson on plant life.

We grew some cress heads, planted sunflower seeds and experimented on white carnations by trying to turn them different colours.

It's A Bugs Life

The children collected bugs from the school garden.  We set up the triops but to date we are still waiting for some sign of life.  The ant farm however is thriving and the children love to sit and watch the busy ants and the queen ant.  They have certainly settled in well to their new habitat.  The snails were also extremely happy and often emerged from their shells to say hello.

What Type Of Taster Are You?

This lesson was all counting taste buds, to discover what type of taster we are,  and testing the theory by eating various types of food (olives, raisins, apple, lemon, dark and white chocolate)

Forces - Catapult Building

This week while working on forces the children enjoyed building their own catapults and working collaboratively to identify areas where they could be improved.
