The National Space Centre – October 2017
On 12th October this Year 2 went to the National Space Centre in Leicester as a part of our topic on Space.
First we needed to get up a little bit earlier because we had to start our journey to Leicester. We got a gigantic coach, with soft seats, from the school at 8.15am.
Next we went upstairs where we saw a rocket and a Russian engine. We got to climb in the cockpit of a landing shuttle and talk to our friends from the control room. We also got to see a rock from the Moon.
Then we went to try to make a moon chair move around.
After, we went to the Planetarium where we watched a show about the Sun and the Moon. The show was funny and exciting.
We had enough time for a few space games and finally, it was time for lunch which we really enjoyed.
Then it was time to go home. The trip was very exciting and fun and we got to learn about space.
